II. Assembly of the device.
Start assembling the device by unpacking the contents of the package and preparing the necessary components.
In addition to the installation process and the first commissioning, prepare:
2x AAA type alkaline batteries (not included)
Tools and screws needed to mount the device (not included)
A water dish with a minimum capacity of 20 ml.
Paper towels.
After unpacking the components from the package, follow the installation steps shown in the graphics. To mount the device using the dedicated DIN glass, follow the graphic (2).
The kit does not include mounting screws, which must be selected independently depending on the substrate.
1. Connect the power supply cord to the device. At this stage, do not plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet yet.
2. Mount the device in the target location. The DIN rail must be mounted horizontally, and the wall on which the device will be mounted must be smooth and vertical. Otherwise, an incorrect position of the device will prevent correct measurements.
To hang the device, hook it with the top teeth on the DIN rail, and then press down on the bottom part of the device so that the latches pop into place. Once mounted, you should hear a distinctive click, and the device will hold firmly in the bracket.
CAUTION: Once the device is in operation, never disassemble or move the device without first drying the vessel and hoses, as well as removing the cartridges.
Moving the device, which may contain liquid, risks permanent damage!
To remove the device from the DIN rail, tilt the bottom of the device away from the wall at about 30 - 45 degrees, then lift to release the device from the bracket.
3. Assemble the water filter holder and place the filter with the hose in the holder.
Place the plastic pieces with the flat sides facing each other, and then screw them together, using screws. Remember to orient the flat parts of the sump according to the instructions on the graphic. Adjust the height of the bracket so that the top piece hanging on the edge of the sump reaches a depth of about 3 - 5 cm from the bottom. After assembling the holder, place the water filter in it, and slide the hose into the dedicated holder.
4. Place the filter with the handle in the sumptuary.
The water intake point for measurement should be behind the mechanical filtration, but before the skimmer.
5. Connect the water connectors to the device.
Connect the hose with the water filter to the IN connector, on the left side of the unit. Connect the water waste hose to the OUT connector, with the other end in the water waste container.
Make sure the connector is properly tightened.
6. Remove the black cover.
Grabbing the sides of the black cover, pull it towards you. The cover is mounted on 4 magnets and has no latches. Removing the cover does not require much force.
7. Place the mixing tablet in the measuring cuvette.
Grasp the flat piece on the measuring cuvette and pull it toward you to eject the cuvette. Place the white mixing tablet in the glass dish without touching the measuring cuvette.
If you see any dirt or fingerprints on the glass dish, wipe it off with a paper towel.
Slide the measuring cuvette back into the chamber. Make sure the cuvette is pushed all the way in.
8. Plug the power adapter into a power outlet.
Choose the right connector for your region. Then install it in the power supply by twisting it until you hear the characteristic click. Plug the power supply into the power outlet. The LED on the top of the device will light up.
III. Adding a device to Smart Reef.
IV. Calibration of the measuring cuvette.
Przed przystąpieniem do kalibracji kuwety pomiarowej przygotuj potrzebne elementy:
2 x 3/5 mm 0.2 m hose for calibration of the device
A vessel with a minimum capacity of 20 ml.
20 - 50 ml of seawater or RO water.
Paper towels or a clean cloth.
Place the device on a flat surface. And press Start.
Prepare the necessary elements if you haven't already done so and press Next.
Connect the short 20cm silicone hose to the device. Make sure it is tightened and proceed Next.
Connect a second short hose to the Out connector and go Next.c
Remove the front cover by grasping it on the sides.
The cover is mounted on 4 magnets and it does not take much force to remove it.
Pulling the flat element on the measuring cuvette, slide it out. Check if there is water in it if the device has been used before. Before proceeding to the next step, the glass measuring cuvette must be clean, free of fingerprints and completely dry. When the cuvette is clean, press Next.
Make sure that the mixing tablet is in the measuring cuvette. If you haven't placed it there yet, drop it in and insert the measuring cuvette.
Place both short hoses in the beaker.
The next step will empty the hoses and the vessel if there was water in them. After placing the hoses in the vessel, press Next.
The next step will be emptying the hoses and the vessel if there was water in them. After placing the hoses in the vessel
Remove the silicone hoses from the beaker and empty it.
Pour at least 20 ml of RO water or seawater into the beaker.
Press the button corresponding to the poured water.
Start the electronic scale to indicate 0.00 and proceed Next.
Place the vessel with water on the scale. Try to keep the vessel in the center of the balance plate in this and subsequent steps. enter the result into the application with 2 decimal places and go Next.
Do not pour the water out of the beaker. You can remove the vessel from the balance. Again place the 2 short hoses in the beaker so that both ends are submerged. Make sure they do not extend above the surface of the water during calibration and proceed Next.
Wait until the calibration stage is complete. If the pump does not start in the first seconds of calibration, it means that the photometry system is still warming up and this is nothing worrying.
Remove the hoses from the dish, if there is water left at their ends shake it off into the dish. Then place the dish on the tared scale and enter the readout in the application. Then go Next.

Congratulations! Your measuring cuvette has been calibrated.
Move the instrument to the target location before continuing with the reagent setup.
V. Cartridge Installation.
Before starting the installation of reagents, prepare:
new set of reagents
a container of RO water
personal protective equipment
After preparing the necessary elements, go Next.
Connect the reagent hose to the RO water cartridge. Make sure that the tubing is inserted exactly and is not kinked then proceed Next.
Wait for the completion of the cleaning procedure of the dropper and reagent pump A.
Disconnect the pump hose A from the RO water cartridge and connect it to the reagent pump 2, then press Next.
Wait for the completion of the cleaning procedure of the dropper and reagent pump B.
Disconnect the pump hose B from the RO water cartridge and connect it to the reagent pump 3, then press Next.
Wait for the completion of the cleaning procedure of the dropper and reagent pump C.
Disconnect the RO water container from the Smart tester. It will no longer be needed. Close the rubber stopper and set it aside.
Press Next and the device will pump the water from the hoses into the measuring cuvette to keep it from being mixed with the reagents. In the meantime, unpack the reagents
Wait for the procedure for removing water from the reagent system to be completed.
Scan the QR code from the reagent box.
The QR code can also be found on the sticker of each cartridge. After entering the code, go Next.
Install the new cartridges in the device and connect the reagent pump hoses to them according to the markings on the cartridges.
The cartridges should be installed in order from the left. Each one should be placed in the corresponding slot. When you slide the container into the slot, you will feel that it is noticeably more stable.
Specify how many days before using the reagent you want to receive notification.
Wait for the completion of the process of cleaning the measuring cuvette from residual RO water.
Congratulations! The cartridge installation is now complete. You can put on the Smart tester cover and proceed to take the first measurement.
