If you experience any issues with the accuracy of your pH Meter, please follow these steps:
A lot of issues may be caused by incorrect calibration. Please try to calibrate the device again. Remember to keep the probe in pH solutions for at least 60 seconds – it will greatly improve the accuracy of the measurements.
Sometimes bacteria or algae in the tank may contribute to contamination of the probe. To get rid of them, you will need to clean the probe. You can do it by diving in salt water for about 30 minutes.
Try to reset your pH Meter with the provided magnet. It will bring the pH Meter back to factory settings, so you will need to connect it you your device and Smart Reef account again.
If you are using your pH Meter for more than six months, the pH probe may have worn out. In that case, you will need to replace the pH probe with a new one.
