The setup process is this same for each lamp size.

  • Connect to your Reef Flare lamp

First, you will have to connect to your Reef Flare lamp. To do this, you will need a Windows, Mac, Android or iOS device. You will have to connect to the device’s Wi-Fi.

In the article How do I connect to my Reef Factory device you can find more detail about connecting to your device.

  • Language

Choose the language

  • Set lamp working time and maximum brightness

Please select the time lamp start and shuts off by using the sliders. You can also set the lamp’s maximum brightness.

  • Connect Reef Flare to your home network

Now you can connect your Reef Flare to your home network. To do this, please pick your Wi-Fi network from the list and type in the password you’ve set for your router.

If you can’t find your network on the list, it may be necessary to move your router closer to the lamp. If your network still won’t show up please check if the router SSID is not hidden or if the router is not turned off.

You may skip this step, however, you won’t be able to use any Smart Reef features like checking the status of the device and changing settings remotely.

You can connect at any time after the first setup if you skip this step.

  • Setting up your Smart Reef account

Please login to your existing Smart Reef account or create a new one.

Congratulations!
