• General information

Actions is are the new cool feature which that integrates our Smart devices. You can add Actions to different devices and create Actions between them.

Actions integrates integrate the devices added to the same Aquarium, so please make sure that before you start to create Actions you have all the devices assigned to the same aquarium (menu on the left menu in the Smart Reef panel).

In this example we We are going to integrate Dosing pump with Kh Pump and Power switcher with KH keeper. Please make sure that your Dosing pump has minimum 0.5.5 firmwarePump firmware is up to date.

You can update your device from the Smart Reef panel.

• Compatible devices

We frequently update our devices and Smart reef panel but if you experience any issues with that you can find the latest firmware here: https://www.reeffactory.com/?state=productsDosingPumpTech at the bottom of the page.Manual how to update device using WiFi (you will need to have Windows or Mac laptop): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIoq16KFk10. Some devices may be acquiring new Action features with the updates. Please check the list below:

• Where to find the Actions panel?

It is in It’s available in the menu on the left menu in the Smart reef systemunder your tank, in this case, A Sps (new system).

• How to start using Actions?

Please click ADD ACTIONNext you have

So on In this step it is required to choose Kh KH keeper:

The choice depends on you. If you want to create the Action to add extra liquid when Kh the kH level is below the desired level, then we choose Kh

Next, enter a value (when Kh the KH keeper result will be below the specific level of your desired Kh dkH then the system will add an extra dose)

For this example I typed 7 (Kh), we chose 7 dkH.

Then select the pump for the integration (we can do the same Action several times for different pumps)

Next, we need to choose an Action which that will be triggered when Kh the dkH level is bellow 7 (or any value you selectedbelow 7.

In this step, you can see all the available Actions. So for the lower Kh dkH level, we can use

We will choose

from the last dose - This means that when your Kh kH level will be below the 7 Kh kH level, then Dosing pump/s will add an extra dose - increased by % is based on the last dose.

For In this example I , we typed 30% so when Kh the kH level is below 7 the system will add an extra30% liquid calculated from the last dose. So if you your last dose (before measurement) was 9 ml then the Dosing pump will add extra 3 ml.

The

Status
title Enter delay

function is the number of minutes the pump will delay. This feature is helpful when you have 2 or more pumps. We don’t want to add all the liquids at one time. So when you add the next pump to the Action please type specific enter a delay here, for instance, 2 minutes. So the second pump will dose 2 minutes after the first one. When there are more than two, then the next pump should be also delayed. See the example below example. You can set the delay in this way:

Congratulations you have just added the second Action to your integration. Now when the

kH result is above the desired level you can set the Dosing pump to skip part of the next dose. For instance when

the KH keeper result will be above 8 as in this example, then part of the next dose from the chosen Dosing pump is skipped (1-100%).

If you want to add the next Dosing pump to this Action then please click

• How to configure Actions when the kH level is between set limits?

In some cases, you may want your pumps or Power switcher to perform an action when the kH value is between particular values. To add another action please click

Next please select the pump or Power switcher you want to integrate for this Action.

In this case, we chose the Power switcher that operates the calcium reactor.

Then we choose to skip part of the next dose

Tip
Congratulations you have just added the third Action to your tank. Now when the kH result is between the desired level you can set one of your Dosing pumps or Power switcher to perform an Action, in this case turning on the Power switcher responsible for the calcium reactor for 15 minutes.

• Multiple tasks performed under one Action

You can set multiple commands for your action to perform many different tasks when the event is triggered.

If you want to add the next task to this Action then please click
