Smart reef Actions

We would like to share with you our new cool features called Actions.

General information

Actions are new cool feature which integrate our devices. You can add to different devices and create Actions between them.

Actions integrate device added to the some Aquarium so please make sure that before you start to create Actions you have all the devices in the some aquarium (left menu in the Smart panel)

In the example bellow (the name of the aquarium is A Sps (new system) and the devices are added to the aquarium.

In this example we are going to integrate Dosing pump with Kh keeper. Please make sure that your Dosing pump has minimum 0.5.5 fireware.

You can update device from the Smart reef panel but when you have issue with that you can find current fireware here: https://www.reeffactory.com/?state=productsDosingPumpTech on the bottom of the page.

Where to find the panel of it?

It is in the left menu in the Smart reef system

When you click it you have the panel

How to start using it?

Please click ADD ACTION

Next you will have Action creation screen.

So on this step it is required to choose Kh keeper

Next step we choose command from the list

The choise depends on us. If we want to create the Action to add extra liquid when Kh level is bellow the level then we choose Kh is bellow. When we want to skip part of next dose then please chose Kh is above. In the example I will show both Actions.

We choose Kh keeper is bellow

Next please enter a value (when Kh keeper result will be bellow the specyfic level of Kh then system will add an extra dose) - Enter valuse is lower Kh level and bellow the level system will start the Action we are setting here right now.

For this example I typed there 7 (Kh)

Then we select the pump for the integration (we can do the some Action several time for different pumps)

For the example I have choosen the Kh pump

Next we need to choose Action which will be triggered when Kh level is bellow 7 (if you choose other Kh level then it will start with your lower level).

In this step you can see all the avaible Actions. So for the lower Kh level we can use manual dose in ml or manual dose % from the last dosing.

We will choose manual dose % from the last dosing - it means that when you Kh level will be bellow the 7 Kh (your low Kh) level then Dosing pump/s will add extra dose - % is based on the last dose.

For this example I typed there 30% so when Kh level is bellow 7 system will extra 30% liquid from the last dose. So if you last dose (before measurement) was 9 ml then Dosing pump will add extra 3 ml.

Enter delay are minutes of delay. This feature is helpfull when you have 2 pump or more. We don’t want to add all the liquids one time. So when you add next pump to the action please type specyfic delay for instance 2 minutes. So when pumps are more then next pump should be also delayed. You can set delay like that:

Pump 1: 0

Pump 2: 2

Pump 3: 4

Pump 4: 6

Next we click OK

If you want to add next pump to the Action you click ADD TASK but if you want to add only one then please click SAVE button

Congratulation your first Action is made. Now when your Kh level is bellow level you set then Dosing pump will add extra dose.

Next I will show you how to configurate Action when Kh level is above specyfic result.

Again please click ADD ACTION

Next please choose Kh keeper from the list

Please select Kh is above

Enter Kh level - above this level Dosing pump/s will skip next dose or part of it. For the example I typed 8 (Kh)

Next please select the pump you want to integrate for this Action.

Then we choose skip part of next dose

Then please click OK

Congratulation you have just added second Action to your integration. Now when Kh level is above the level you set Dosing pump will skip part of next dose. For instance when Kh keeper result will be above 8 like in this example then part of chosen Dosing pump next dose will be skipped (1-100%).

If you want to add next Dosing pump to this Action then please click ADD TASK but if you want to add only one then just click SAVE.

If you add several pumps to the Actions then the screen can look like this.
