To perform the pump accuracy test, you will need:

  • 100 ml dish

balance with an accuracy of 0.01g

    soft cloth

Remove the black cover of the device.

Empty the measuring vessel using the "EMPTY" function in the KH keeper calibration menu.

Gently pull the pH probe out of the holder and place it on a soft surface.

Slide out the 2 tubes and the red needle of the dropper so you can pull out the dish.

Remove the vessel and put the mixing tablet in a safe place.

Accuracy test of aquarium water pump [B].

Place the end of the aquarium water pump tube over the vessel.

Start from the calibration menu the function "fill the circuit" of the aquarium water pump. Repeat the operation until there are no air bubbles in the entire circuit.

Place the tip of the water pump tube over the dish without touching the walls and run the scale and tare it to indicate 0.00 grams. Then go to the app and run the test.

From the KH keeper's calibration menu, select "AQUARIUM WATER PUMP" and then "Accuracy Test". The aquarium water pump will start pumping about 50ml.

After completing the accuracy test, read the value from the scale and convert it by dividing by 1.026 to get the value in milliliters. The converted value should be in the range of 49.5-50.5 ml. If the pumped volume of fluid is outside this range, recalibrate according to the instructions:

Calibration of pump A and B in KH keeper Plus

Reagent pump accuracy test [A].

Place a red reagent pump dropper over the vessel.

Run the "fill the circuit" function of the reagent water pump from the calibration menu.

Repeat the process until there are no air bubbles throughout the system.

With the dropper above the dish and not touching its walls, run the scale and tare it to indicate 0.00g.

Select "Accuracy Test" from the Reagent Pump Calibration menu.

The reagent pump will start by pouring 5ml of liquid.

After completing the accuracy test, read the value from the balance. You don't need to convert it, the reagent is based on RO water and we assume that 1ml=1g. The value should be in the range of 4.95-5.05 ml. If the pumped volume of liquid is outside this range, recalibrate according to the instructions:

Prepare the device for operation.

Place the emptied and cleaned dish back in the recess of the device.

Place the mixing tablet in place. Make sure it is in place and has been attracted to the agitator.

Place the water intake and infusion tubes in place. Make sure they are inserted all the way to the bottom. If not, this will adversely affect the measurement.

Place the red needle of the dropper in the center holder. Be careful not to bend the tip which may cause blockage of the flow.

Place the probe in the holder. Pay attention, to the mounting height of the probe. The tip of the probe should be between 5 and 7mm from the bottom. This is especially important for the glass probe, which, mounted too high, is unable to make a correct measurement.

Put on the black front of the device.
