In this article, you will learn how to add a Reef Factory device to a Smart reef. Before starting the configuration, make sure the device is connected to power, and generating a WiFi network.

To connect your device to your account using the Smart Reef app, your device must be connected to power and within range of your home network, and your phone or tablet. You can download the app from the Play shop and the App store. Open the Smart Reef app on your mobile device and log in.
If you do not already have a Smart Reef account, select "Create a free account".
Enter the email address you wish to use in the Smart Reefor app and the password, then repeat it.
If you do not want to log in every time you start the application, select "Keep me logged in". |  |
Create your aquarium in the Smart Reef app.

If you do not already have an aquarium, please use the "Add aquarium" option in the bottom left corner of the screen and enter the necessary information. If you already have your aquarium in the Smart Reef app, proceed to the next step.

Add the device to your Smart Reef account
From the list of aquariums or the list of devices at the bottom right of the screen, select 'add device'. Dosing pumps can be found in the Dosing category.
Allow the app to use your exact location when using the app. This will allow the app to connect devices to WiFi networks more easily.

Configuring the WiFi connection of the home router.
Select your 2.4 GHz home network from the list of available networks. If you do not see it in the list, make sure its signal is strong enough and press "Refresh". Then enter the password for your home router, if required, and press "NEXT". Note the upper and lower case characters.
NOTE: Special characters may not be supported, if the name or password for your router contains such characters, change them in the router settings. NOTE: Reef Factory devices only support the 2.4 GHz WiFi network band. If your router generates 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, indicate the name of the 2.4 GHz network.

Select 'SCANNING' to scan the QR code on the device, then allow the Smart Reef app to access the camera when using the app. After pressing "SCAN", hover the phone's camera over the QR code to scan it or manually enter the serial number of the device and select "CONNECT". You will find the serial number on the device, on the packaging and as a generated WiFi network.

Wybierz „SKANOWANIE”, aby zeskanować kod QR na urządzeniu, a następnie zezwól aplikacji Smart Reef na dostęp do aparatu podczas używania aplikacji. Po naciśnięciu „SKANOWANIE” najedź kamerą telefonu na kod QR, aby go zeskanować lub ręcznie wprowadź numer seryjny urządzenia i wybierz „POŁĄCZ”.
